2025 Student Design Contest

Here at FPM France, we believe that innovation blossoms when our expertise meets the younger generation’s creativity. That’s why we launched the 2nd annual packaging design contest in collaboration with the Léonard de Vinci Campus in Antibes, and specifically their DNMADE course specializing in object design. The 2025 participants were challenged withreinventing a prestigious Wine & Spirits casewhile incorporating the ideas of eco-design, sustainability, and the consumer’s desire to keep the case.

A demanding project that reflects market reality

The project brief invited students to design an object that meets several criteria. It had to:

  • protect an exceptional bottle (with a value of €2,000 - €5,000)
  • display a brand’s story and identity
  • be produced in a 5,000-piece run
  • and adopt an eco-friendly approach.

From oak cask to designer lamp: the winning case

“For my project, I chose a prestigious wine estate. I was inspired by the Maison’s traditional barrels and revisited their shape using four arched oak blades. The number four, which comes up often in the estate’s history, became a guiding principle in my design. I wanted to combine tradition (represented by wood) with modernity (embodied by steel). The case turns into a lamp base, allowing its lifespan to last well beyond the sampling of its contents.”

— Emma Vigna, contest winner

A partnership that fosters talent & expertise

“This contest allows students to test their ideas against real-life professional expectations and develop their design process in an inspiring environment. It’s a very instructive experience that values creativity when faced with the reality of luxury packaging design.”

— Marie-Laure Bertoncello, design instructor, DNMADE Object design

“This contest is an amazing opportunity for us to share our passion and pair artisanal expertise and industrial feasibility with the fresh, bold perspective of young designers. Here at FPM, we believe that these exchanges are a boon not only to these students’ future, but to our own vision of innovation.”

— Arnaud Boniatzis, FPM CEO

A huge thank you to FPM France for the assistance and valuable time they gave the students, and to the design instructors at LDV Campus’ Object design DNMADE – especially Marie-Laure Bertoncello – for their involvement. Finally, congratulations to the three winners, Lisa Billard, Elias Vasseur-Dorangeville and Emma Vigna, as well as to all the other participants.
