BEHIND THE SCENES AT FPM SWITZERLAND
ROGER TRUAN SA joins the FPM group
For over 60 years, ROGER TRUAN SA has blazed trails in a world defined by precision, discretion, and excellence. Founded in Geneva in 1960, , this Swiss company assists the most exacting high-end watchmakers, jewelers, and luxury goods producers in creating cases, lined boxes, and custom displays.
In 2025, ROGER TRUAN SA chose to join the FPM group.FPM.
A family business rooted in Genevan heritage
In 1960, when ROGER TRUAN first founded his company in Geneva’s Quai du Seujet neighborhood, he laid the foundations for an entrepreneurial adventure that continues to this day. For nearly 30 years, the business is headed by his son, Philippe Truan, who continues to build the company with the help of his own children.
The core of ROGER TRUAN SA’s business is lining, a form of traditional craftsmanship that consists of wrapping rigid structures with leather, fabric, or other flexible materials to create cases that protect and showcase precious creations.
To answer its clients’ needs, the company brings together several complementary skill sets at a single location: carpentry, lining, sewing, assembly, and high-end finishing. “Maintaining full manufacturing control has always been essential to us. It is based on the manual skills and muscle memory of our craftspeople. Our autonomy is what guarantees our excellence,” says Philippe Truan.
Over the years, ROGER TRUAN SA has established a reputation based on one simple belief: the idea that trust is developed over time by working closely together. “Our business relies on trust. In watchmaking and jewelry, discretion is an integral part of craftsmanship. It's also culturally significant,” adds Philippe Truan.
Between craftsmanship and industrial capacity
Like all companies in the FPM group, ROGER TRUAN SA subscribes to a vision in which excellence in craftsmanship is paired with mastery of production tools. This means being able to create pieces that are unique in shape, finish, and function, while ensuring the reproducibility, quality, and production rate needed for larger markets.
“The merger with FPM and the DIAM Group allows us to strengthen the company, particularly in the areas of industry and environmental standards. Over the years, brands have developed new expectations: they require better quality, traceability, and new materials. They now also prioritize a never-ending search for consistency between creation, manufacturing, and responsibility,” explains Philippe Truan.
This constant search for a balance between tradition and innovation echoes FPM's approach of supporting local brands with companies that provide a personal touch, combining skilled craftsmanship with industrial excellence. This approach is one we like to summarize with a single phrase: from human hands to machinery.
Expertise that enriches the group
ROGER TRUAN SA’s addition to FPM strengthens the group’s position in the highly demanding sectors of fine watchmaking and jewelry.
It also introduces recognized expertise in leather crafts, lining, and high-added-value products, enhancing the know-how already present throughout the group’s companies.
From Geneva to Paris, from Lisbon to Bangkok, every company in the group retains its own unique culture, identity, and perspective. “What we liked about the DIAM Group and FPM's approach is their desire to bring together companies with similar visions that complement each other. This helps them grow without losing their identity or their tradition,” adds Philippe Truan.
